Some thought Joey should be institutionalized and they told his parents he would not live to see his tenth birthday. He is now 42 years old. He contracted a virus that has become a worldwide epidemic and as he fights for his life, he develops severe pain. But because he can’t use his hands or talk, he has to use a head probe to type emails to Dr. Carrasco, the Dr. struggles to understand what Joey is really saying.
